France to Win and Over 1.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

France have scored at least two goals in each of their last ten matches. They held out with 10 men against Brazil and should beat a Colombia who lost 2-1 to Croatia in midweek and arrive with several key absences.

France 2-0

Reason for tip

France usually score multiple goals and have recently been keeping clean sheets in competitive games too. This may only be a friendly, but some of the French players are battling for squad roles and should be determined to earn a 2-0 win.

Mbappe To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Kylian Mbappe has scored in his last eight games with Les Bleus. He may not start the game in Maryland, but could do some damage coming on against tired Colombian defenders.

French quality keeps them clear of Colombia

France are fancied to record another victory as they continue preparations for this summer’s World Cup with a friendly against Colombia in Maryland. Didier Deschamps’ side cruised through qualifying and followed that up with a gritty 2‑1 friendly win over Brazil in Boston on Thursday.

The French were forced to cling on to their slender advantage after going down to 10 men when Dayot Upamecano was sent off, but two moments of quality in attack saw them home.

Kylian Mbappé raced onto a Ousmane Dembele through ball to claim the opener and the Real Madrid star stands now just one goal away from Olivier Giroud’s all‑time French scoring record. He captained the side in Boston and could extend his eight-game streak of scoring for Les Bleus if he gets into the pitch against Colombia.

Mbappe nears Giroud’s mark

The South Americans qualified well but were exposed in a 2-1 defeat to Croatia on Thursday without several important players, including Yerry Mina, Carlos Cuesta and Cucho Hernandez.

Their defensive structure will be severely tested by a French side that has scored freely for over a year.

With France’s superior squad depth, sharper form and greater attacking firepower, backing France to win and over 1.5 goals looks a solid approach. Les Bleus have won seven of their last eight matches and kept for clean sheets during that run, so try a 2-0 correct score play with Mbappe to score at anytime again.
