Inter Milan to Win

Reason for tip

Como have enjoyed an excellent season but they have tended to struggle against the teams above them, managing two losses and two draws in their four league games against Inter, AC Milan and Napoli. They were routed 4-0 in the reverse fixture and lack the quality of top-of-the-table Inter.

Inter Milan 2-1

Reason for tip

Inter should have enough to take three points at Como but shutting out their hosts could prove difficult. The Nerazzurri have managed only two clean sheets in their last five away games and Como, who put five past lowly Pisa in their last home outing, can grab a consolation.

Como vs Inter Milan Predictions

  • Como are on an eight-match unbeaten run
  • Inter Milan have won nine of their last 11 Serie A away games
  • Como have lost two and drawn two of their four matches against the three sides who started the weekend above them in Serie A

Leaders likely to continue title push

A three-game winless run, one which began with a 1-0 defeat to rivals AC Milan, will have had Inter fans worrying their title charge was set to unravel but Cristian Chivu’s side alleviated those fears in emphatic fashion last weekend.

The Nerazzurri proved why they are sitting pretty at the Serie A summit by routing Roma 5-2 and they can overcome another tricky test when making the short trip to Como on Sunday.

Como themselves have enjoyed an excellent season and are firmly in the mix to finish in the top four. However, Inter have looked a cut above the other 19 Serie A teams all season and can prove their strength at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.

Como could be outclassed by Nerazzurri

Cesc Fabregas’s side were frustrated in a 0-0 draw with Udinese last time and that was hardly the ideal warmup for a visit from an Inter side who have won nine of their last 11 away games in Serie A.

Como are a brilliant team and play beautiful football, though that tends to serve them better against lesser sides. They were routed 4-0 by Inter in the reverse fixture and were also beaten 3-1 by Milan, another of the few teams above them, when hosting the Rossoneri in January.

That suggests that, while the Lariani are a strong outfit, Inter are simply too classy a side to oppose.
