Crystal Palace to Win and Under 3.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Crystal Palace are on a sensational ten-match unbeaten run which includes their FA Cup final and Community Shield victories over Manchester City and Liverpool as well as draws with Arsenal and Chelsea. They should prove too strong for Fredrikstad but they may have one eye on Sunday’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest, so expect a low-scoring home win.

      Crystal Palace 3-0

      Reason for tip

Only two of Crystal Palace’s last eight matches have gone over 3.5 goals, so they are unlikely to rout Fredrikstad. They should, however, keep a clean sheet, with the Norwegian visitors scoring just two goals across their last five away games.

      Crystal Palace vs Fredrikstad Predictions

      • Crystal Palace’s 0-0 draw at Chelsea extended their unbeaten run to ten
      • Fredrikstad are winless in seven away matches
      • Just two of the Eagles’ last eight games have featured more than three goals

Palace primed to start European campaign with a win

Crystal Palace find themselves in a strange situation.Their FA Cup triumph means they will be playing in a major European competition for the first time, the issue is that off-field drama has seen them demoted to the Conference League.

The Eagles will feel disheartened as they believe they earned their place in the Europa League but it is down to Oliver Glasner to refocus his side and to the task at hand.

Eagles unlikely to spread their wings too much

Palace are in good hands under Glasner, a Europa League-winning manager with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023, and his tendency to rotate only sparingly means the Eagles should prove far too strong for Fredrikstad.

The Norwegian outfit are winless in seven away outings and are unlikely to trouble Palace, who are on a ten-match unbeaten run which includes wins over Aston Villa and Manchester City as well as draws with Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

That being said, Glasner’s side will have one eye on Sunday’s clash with Nottingham Forest, a side they would love to get one over as their owner, Evangelos Marinakis, was key in the Eagles’ demotion to the Conference League, with the Reds taking their place.

Palace may not go full tilt with that in mind, so expect under 3.5 goals to land for the seventh time in nine Eagles games.
