Cuiaba could sit deep in crucial clash

The Serie A title is beginning to look beyond Flamengo’s reach, with Botafogo nine points clear of Filipe Luis’ men with five games remaining, so the focus for the Copa do Brasil champions will now be securing a top-four finish. 

They are sat fourth heading into this round of fixtures but will be wary knowing Internacional are on the same tally and Sao Paulo are just two points back in sixth. 

A win at Cuiaba would go some distance towards their goal but with the hosts embroiled in a gruelling relegation battle, Flamengo may have to work hard for any positive result against a side who will be looking to frustrate their visitors in a bid to earn a crucial point.
