Goals on the cards in Prague

After an unimpressive World Cup, Czechia return to action at home against Croatia as they raise the curtain on their UEFA Nations League campaign.

Saturday’s hosts may have failed to win any of their World Cup ties, but they have been in solid scoring form over the past year or so and goals can be expected in Prague.

Both teams have scored in six of their last seven matches and Croatia have seen goals at both ends in eight of their last ten. They have kept just one clean sheet in this period, so backing both teams to find the net appeals.

Croatia do appear to have the advantage, though. Czechia are without the now-retired Patrik Schick and were hammered 5-1 by Croatia last June. They were very disappointing in the World Cup and three of Croatia’s last four wins have been by a 2-1 scoreline, so that is the correct score pick.
