Denmark vs Moldova Predictions
- Denmark have won six of their last seven internationals, keeping clean sheets in five.
- Moldova are without a win in 18 games and have lost their last 11 away trips, failing to score in ten.
Danes to dominate at MCH Arena
Denmark set off on their road to Qatar 2022 with a confident 0-2 success over Israel on Thursday evening and Kasper Hjulmand’s men are expected to make light work of minnows Moldova this Sunday afternoon.
Goals from Martin Braithwaite and Jonas Wind in Tel-Aviv got the Danes up and running in Group F and continued the fine form which they have shown over the last year or so. Denmark have now won six of their last seven internationals including a 0-1 triumph against England at Wembley in October and they have kept five clean sheets in that sequence.
Moldova represent the weakest opposition that Denmark have faced in some time and they travel to Herning having lost all of their last 11 away trips. Roberto Bordin’s strugglers have failed to net in ten of those ties, so a Denmark win to nil looks a solid, safe choice for punters this weekend.
Our selection is favoured over supporting the Danes in the handicap markets as Moldova have lost by more than two goals in just two of their last seven on their travels. Nonetheless, we think Denmark’s dominance is likely to translate into a decent margin of victory and 3-0 is our correct score prediction for the action at MCH Arena.
