Djurgarden vs BK Hacken Predictions

A season may well be long and hard with plenty of periods where teams are at the top of their game, and other periods where they struggle. Fortunately for Djurgardens, they are at the peak of their powers at the moment and this weekend they have the opportunity to prove that this run of form is no flash in the pan as they welcome a BK Hacken who still have aspirations of a shot at the title of their own.

After claiming an excellent 20 points from their last eight games, it should come as no surprise to learn that Djugardens are at the top of the form table in Sweden’s top division and they have now put themselves right in the mix at the top end of the division. The hosts have proven to be pretty mean in their defence of late and they have conceded just four times in their last nine matches in all competitions, a base which they have undoubtedly built their recent success on. They are now just four points off top spot and with a game in hand, they know that they are still in contention at this stage of the season.

The title is also on the mind of this weekend’s visitors to the Tele2 Arena as BK Hacken sit just two points behind their hosts having played the same amount of games. Whilst their form has not quite been as impressive of that shown by Djugardens of late, the visitors are by no means out of form and they come into this match having claimed 16 points from their last eight games. However, their form on the road is not quite matching that shown by those ahead of them in the league and they face an uphill battle if they are to emerge victorious this weekend.

Given the form of the hosts going into this match and their defensive capabilities, we find it hard to make an arguement for anything other than a home win. The visitors may well be in the title hunt but they are not extraordinary on their travels and with this in mind, we think that backing a home win in this contest represents the best opportunity for a decent return.
