England vs Iceland Predictions
- England have won three of their four head-to-heads with Iceland
- Iceland have lost six of their last 10 internationals
- The Three Lions were comfortable 4-0 winners in their last meeting back in 2020
Three Lions can prepare for Germany with victory
England’s preparation for Euro 2024 is drawing to a close and, after beating Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-0 on Monday night, Gareth Southgate will be confident that his side can make it two wins from two against Iceland.
The Three Lions have looked impressive since exiting at the quarter-finals of the World Cup in 2022, winning nine of their 13 matches since and losing just once (a 1-0 home defeat to Brazil in March) .
Iceland famously knocked England out at the round of 16 stage in Euro 2016 but they will not feature in Germany this summer after losing to Ukraine in their play-off final, while Age Hareide’s men have also failed to impress on the road recently, losing six of their of their last 10.
England will be expected to comfortably see off Iceland at Wembley in their final warm-up game and a stronger side could be named than that of their recent triumph over Bosnia. The Three Lions have netted 10 goals over their last five home games and should be able to find the net on more than one occasion on Friday, with a 2-0 final score drawing the eye.
