Espanyol must defeat Las Palmas at the RCDE Stadium on Saturday to make certain of their top-flight status, but a tense night looks on the cards and under 2.5 goals looks the best bet.

Relegated Las Palmas, meanwhile, are without a win in five games and have lost on their last two away trips.

Espanyol lost 2-0 to Osasuna last weekend, keeping up their recent trend for matches with under 2.5 goals. Despite being priced as 17/5 outsiders, they would have hoped to be more competitive than the final margin of defeat.

Under 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in three of the last five Primera Liga games between these sides, with two of the last three times that Espanyol have hosted Las Palmas in the league also producing under 2.5 goals.

Espanyol’s approach might depend on what is happening elsewhere, but a goalless draw is a viable correct-score option given their attacking struggles of late.
