Sweden and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Sweden have to win here if they are to stand a realistic chance of reaching the main event in Germany and they have enough quality to get the result they need – but Estonia can at least grab a consolation effort. The hosts performed well in defeat to Belgium in their last qualifier and have hit six goals in their last four home games, while the Blagult have just one clean sheet in their last five games and have conceded in eight of their last nine away from home.

Sweden 2-1

Reason for tip

Estonia managed to frustrate Belgium for large periods and also limited Austria to two goals in a 2-1 loss. Sweden have to win here, while Estonia’s Eurp 2024 hopes already appear over and the visitors can claim a win courtesy of a hard-fought 2-1 success.

Viktor Gyokeres To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Viktor Gyokeres is off the mark for new club Sporting after his summer switch from Coventry and has one goal in three qualifiers so far, and he looks a good contender for an anytime effort.

Estonia vs Sweden Predictions

  • Estonia have scored six goals across their last four home games.
  • Sweden have just one clean sheet in their last five.
  • Sweden need to win to realistically keep their qualification bid alive.

Only a win will do for Sweden

Sweden head to Estonia on Saturday knowing victory is a must if they are to keep their chances of reaching Euro 2024 alive.

Defeats to Belgium and Austria mean the Swedes are four points behind the Belgians in second spot and they are seven behind the Austrians, who have played a game more.

Estonia have just one point on the board and Sweden should be able to win this game, but they may need to score at least twice to claim maximum points.

Estonia can strike in defeat

Estonia lost 3-0 to Belgium in their last home qualifier but that result flattered the Red Devils and Thomas Häberli’s men were arguably unlucky not to get anything out of that game.

The Blueshirts, ranked 111 in the world by FIFA, managed nine shots but poor finishing proved their undoing – although they may enjoy a bit more success against Sweden’s suspect defence.

The Blagult only have one clean sheet in their last five games and have conceded in eight of their last nine away from home. The Swedes are the heavy favourites to win this game so for better value backing an away win and both teams to score looks the best option.

A 2-1 win for Sweden looks a reasonable correct score bet as Estonia managed to frustrate Belgium for large periods and also limited Austria to two goals in a 2-1 loss.

Former Coventry man Viktor Gyokeres is off the mark for new club Sporting and has one goal in three qualifiers so far, and he looks a good contender for an anytime effort.
