      Everton Draw No Bet

      Reason for tip

Everton have only lost one of their last eight home meetings with Chelsea and have kept six clean-sheets during that sequence. Having ended a long winless run at home by beating Burnley earlier this month, the Toffees can follow up against a visiting team that have lost three on the bounce.

      Everton 2-0

      Reason for tip

Everton have shut Chelsea out in six of the last eight meetings between the teams on Merseyside, including claiming a 2-0 success in December 2023. Having beaten Burnley by the same scoreline in their last home fixture, the Toffees will fancy their chances of repeating the trick when facing a visiting team that have drawn blanks in their last two games against Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain.

Kiernan Dewsbury Hall To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will have a point to prove against his former club, and as Everton’s joint-leading scorer, he has every chance of netting for the second home game on the bounce after grabbing his side’s second in the win over Burnley.

      Everton vs Chelsea Predictions

      • Everton have lost only one of their last eight home meetings with Chelsea
      • The Toffees would move to within two points of their opponents with a victory
      • Chelsea head to Merseyside off the back of three straight defeats

Toffees quietly going about their business

Everton have been quietly going about their business this season and will feel they can add to Chelsea’s recent woes when the teams meet at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday evening.

David Moyes’ side head into the weekend sitting eighth in the standings and they could boost their European hopes and move to within two points of their opponents with a victory.

Home wins have not been that easy to come by for Everton since they swapped Goodison Park for Hill Dickinson, but they did get the better of Burnley in their last match on Merseyside and their recent home record against Chelsea is also impressive.

The Toffees have only lost one of their last eight home meetings with Chelsea, all of which have come in the Premier League, while the Blues have not even been able to score on six of those trips.

      Chelsea’s sticky run to continue

It has been a miserable couple of weeks for Chelsea, who suffered a humiliating 8-2 aggregate defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, with the two matches of that tie coming either side of last Saturday’s 1-0 home loss to Newcastle.

That poor run has ramped up the pressure on head coach Liam Rosenior, with Chelsea having only won one of their last seven matches in regulation time.

The Blues have failed to score on their last two trips to Everton, including a 2-0 defeat in December 2023, and that result could come back to haunt Rosenior and co once again given the Toffees beat Burnley by the same scoreline in their last home fixture.

Dewsbury-Hall to pile misery on former employers

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has impressed since swapping Chelsea for Everton in the summer, scoring six goals, a tally that cannot be bettered by anyone else in Moyes’ squad.

The 27-year-old’s latest strike came in the win against Burnley, while he also provided a goal and assist in the victory over Nottingham Forest in December – Everton’s most recent home win prior to the success against the Clarets.

After being forced off early in the reverse meeting between the two sides due to injury, Dewsbury-Hall will have extra incentive to get on the scoresheet against Chelsea, who he made only two Premier League starts for during his one season at Stamford Bridge.
