Faroe Islands vs Croatia Predictions

• Faroe Islands have lost four of their last five games
• Four of the hosts’ last five losses have come without scoring

Croatia set for comfortable win

Faroe Islands may have beaten Gibraltar last time out but their chances of qualifying for the World Cup are minimal and they look unlikely to get anything when they host Croatia in this qualifier.

The visitors have cruised through their two games in this group so far, beating Gibraltar 7-0 and then hammering the next-highest ranked team in the section, the Czech Republic, 5-1.

Zlatko Dalic’s side were knocked out in the quarter-finals of the Nations League finals this year but remain one of the best teams in Europe, despite the advancing age of some of their stars.

Luka Modric, Ivan Perisic and Andrej Kramaric are not getting any younger but they can still produce very solid performances.

Certainly they should have little issue in getting better of the Faroes, who have lost ten of their last 13 World Cup qualifiers.

The 2018 runners-up should be able to comfortably beat these opponents considering the dominance that they showed in the first few games. 

Four of the hosts’ last five defeats have all come without scoring and a win to nil for Croatia looks like a sound bet.

However the Faroes have managed to keep things relatively tight recently, with only one of their last ten games going over 3.5 goals so side with a 3-0 victory for the away team.
