FC Den Bosch vs FC Eindhoven Predictions

In a league where so many teams find it difficult to string winning runs together, Den Bosch have been showing the rest how it’s done. Oussama Bouyaghlafen’s 18^th minute goal secured a 0-1 success at Oss last weekend, the fourth victory on the spin for the club, and The Blue White Dragons are fast becoming serious contenders to land a Play-off spot this term. Can Wil Boessen’s side maintain their superb form when they host FC Eindhoven in s-Hertogenbosch this Friday?

After four successive bottom half finishes in Eerste Divisie, few were anticipating that Den Bosch would make much of an impact this season, a notion reaffirmed after The Blue White Dragons lost three of their opening six league fixtures.

But as other teams have continued to stutter, Wil Boessen’s side have raced up to 5^th in the table over the last few weeks, winning four on the spin with their victory at Oss last time out adding to triumphs over Jong AZ (3-1), MVV (0-3) and Dordrecht (1-0).

Of course, there’s a huge question mark around whether Den Bosch can sustain their form considering they’ve not made the top five since the 2013/14 campaign, but for now they’re clearly a dangerous team to back against and one that’s growing in stature week by week.

And Den Bosch certainly head into this Friday’s fixture with FC Eindhoven as favourites to bank another three points, despite a decent riposte from the visitors of late after a torturous start to the season.

David Nascimento’s side were rooted to the foot of the table after losing their first five games, but have since gone five unbeaten to haul themselves up to 14^th in the standings.

Eindhoven have accrued nine points from those five outings which is a fantastic achievement based on their early troubles, and both of their wins have been on the road against defending champions Jong Ajax (0-3) and promotion challengers NEC (0-1).

But we think Den Bosch will be too good for them here as they were last term in completing a league double over the visitors.

Den Bosch in fact won 4-0 in last season’s corresponding fixture which should further boost the confidence they’ve attained from their winning run, and whilst we expect this contest to be a lot closer following FC Eindhoven’s recent improvement, we’re siding with the hosts in the match betting with a small wager on 2-1 in the correct score market as well.
