Flora in full bloom ahead of Hibernians tie

Flora have a definite edge over their opponents for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League Qualifying tie in Tallinn as they are right in the middle of their domestic campaign.

The Estonian champions are going well too as they prepare to face a side that aren’t even the winners of their domestic league.

Hibernians finished second in Malta to Hamrun Spartans, but the champions were banned from competing in European competitions for a match fixing case dating back to 2013.

The visitors’ last competitive contest was back in March as the Maltese campaign was curtailed, so Flora will surely be fitter and more battle-hardened for this clash.

Jurgen Henn’s side collected five consecutive clean sheets in wins prior to last week’s 3-3 home draw with Paide – so they look to be functioning well.

Their backline is well marshalled by Märten Kuusk and their attacking play orchestrated by Konstantin Vassilijev with ex-Motherwell and Dundee winger Henrik Ojamaa also providing good service to 12-goal Rauno Sappinen.
