Fenerbahce vs Lokomotiv Moscow Betting Tips & Predictions

Fenerbahce’s 3-1 win over Kasimpasa on Friday ended their four match winless streak in all competitions, and it also allowed them to extend their lead at the top of the Turkish Super Liga.

They had drawn three and lost one of their previous four matches, with the only positive being their extra time win in the Turkish Cup.

However, they remain at the top of the Super Liga with a four point advantage over 2^nd placed Besiktas, although the chasers do have two games in hand on them.

Fenerbahce may have only finished 2^nd in the Europa League Group A, but they did well to even qualify from their tough group. Molde finished top of the group after an excellent series of performances, but Fenerbahce still had to overcome the likes of Ajax and Celtic to make it through.

Lokomotiv Moscow had a marginally easier group to deal with, and they finished at the top of Group H, beating Sporting CP, Besiktas, and Skenderbau to the summit.

But the visitors aren’t in the best of form. They have only won one of their last eight matches in all competitions.

Their last three matches have all been in the Atlantic Cup though, so the Russians could well find themselves out of match fitness after not playing a real competitive match since the middle of December.

Lokomotiv Moscow won’t play any domestic football again until the start of March, and they will enter the second half of the season in 3^rd place in the Russian Premier League with five points to make up on their top of the table rivals CSKA Moscow.

The lack of match practise and the disadvantage of being away from home give Fenerbahce the edge in this match I think, and I’m liking the look of a Fenerbahce win at 4/6. I’m also going to back a 2-1 correct score prediction at 15/2.
