Fener battle for silver medal

Fenerbahce’s slim title hopes may have died with Galatasaray’s win on Tuesday but the Turkish giants still have work to do to secure the silver medal and they can get the job done against an out-of-shape Trabzonspor side.

The visitors ended a six-match winless streak against Ankaragucu last time out but their away record remains dismal. They have lost four successive trips in all competitions, although it is worth noting they scored in three of those defeats.

Fenerbahce, unbeaten in six league games, are level on points with third-place Besiktas and will be confident of three points on Thursday, despite a sub-par defensive record which has seen them concede in 15 of their last 16 Super Lig games.

Enner Valencia may be the runaway top scorer in the league but teammate Michy Batshuayi offers a better option for anytime goalscorer punters. The former Chelsea man has scored ten goals in 16 appearances in the league and found the net at Giresunspor at the weekend, making it three goals in his last four league appearances.
