Fleetwood Town vs Cambridge United Predictions
- Cambridge have won their last four league matches
- One defeat in Fleetwood’s last five home matches
- The reverse fixture finished 2-2 in September
Tough too split two sides in good form
Both teams come into this one with good recent form behind them and I am having a tough time splitting the two. Fleetwood have lost one of their last five home games and have taken seven points from the last twelve on offer in League One, a run which has seen Stephen Crainey’s side climb out of the bottom four.
Cambridge have won their last four league games and currently sit in mid-table. Their poor start to the campaign has cost them a real shot at making the play-offs, they currently have a ten-point gap to bridge and given the stature of some of the clubs between them and the play-offs this seems very unlikely.
Another stalemate entirely feasible
The reverse fixture at the Abbey Stadium in September finished 2-2 and the spoils may have to be shared once more. You can make a case for either of these sides given their recent form, but I am having tough time picking one over the other. As such, and whilst only a tentative selection I will put up the draw as my main bet for this game. In the correct score market, I will chance a repeat of the 2-2 score line from when these two last met.
