Gent vs Zenit Betting Tips

In Group H, unbeaten Zenit have already locked down a spot and they travel to face Belgian side Gent in the last round of group games. Gent are currently in possession of second place and are in a straight run off with Valencia to decide the second qualification spot, Valencia play host to bottom club Lyon.

After picking up just one point in a 1-1 draw with Lyon in their first three games, it’s hard to look past the more recent run of results from Gent. They somehow managed to beat Valencia 1-0 at home, before travelling to Lyon and also winning that game in surprise fashion, 2-1. Now they’re one result away from a place in the knockout phase of the Champions League.

For Zenit, they’ve scored 12 goals and conceded just four times in a perfect five-game campaign so far. Traditionally, they’re known as a side that dominates in Russia but doesn’t travel well, but this year’s group has been very different. They opened the campaign with an impressive 3-2 away win against Valencia and controlled affairs again winning 2-0 on their trip to Lyon.
