Hibernian vs Legia Warsaw Predictions
- Hibernian were beaten 8-0 on aggregate in the Conference League play-off round last season
- Each of Legia Warsaw’s last four European games have featured at least three goals
- Eight of Hibs’ last nine home games saw over 2.5 goals land as a winning bet
Hibs hoping to end European absence
It has been 20 years since Hibernian last qualified for a major European tournament but they are one successful tie against Legia Warsaw away from booking their place in the league phase of the Conference League and ending their absence.
Hibs fell at this hurdle last term, being routed 8-0 on aggregate by Aston Villa, but they have been handed a kinder tie this time, facing a Legia side who finished only fifth in the Ekstraklasa in 2024-25.
The side from the Polish capital dropped into the Conference League play-off round after losing 5-3 on aggregate in a thrilling Europa League qualifying tie with Larnaca, and goals could be on the agenda for Edward Iordanescu’s men again.
Edinburgh excitement in store
Legia’s last four European outings have seen over 2.5 goals land as a winning bet and there is every reason to believe that trend can continue in Edinburgh.
Hibs’ last three matches have produced a total of ten goals in 90 minutes – their second leg at Partizan also saw one scored in extra-time – while eight of their last nine home games have featured at least three strikes.
Expect both teams forwards to enjoy their hunt for goals at Easter Road.
