Rangers looking to build on home win

New Rangers manager Danny Rohl picked up his first win in the job with a 3-1 success over Kilmarnock on Sunday but he faces a tough test in midweek as the Light Blues visit Easter Road to take on Hibs tomorrow.

The hosts are third after losing just one of their nine league games, although they are playing catch up to both Celtic and rivals Hearts, who have opened up an eight-point lead at the top of the table.

Hibs have secured back-to-back wins over Livingston and Aberdeen, scoring six times in the process, and their attacking efforts should be rewarded against a leaky Rangers side.

The visitors have only kept one clean sheet in the league this season and that came against Celtic in a cagey derby.

Rohl has a serious job on his hands to turn Rangers’ fortunes around after some questionable recruitment over the summer and with his side 13 points off the pace after just nine games.

A cup semi-final against Celtic looms at the weekend so things won’t get any easier and it’s hard to have faith in Rangers winning this one.

The more appealing bet is both teams to score and over 2.5 goals, which has landed in four of the Light Blues’ last six outings.

These two teams have played out 11 stalemates in their 18 combined league matches so a 2-2 correct score pick looks solid.
