Tip Reasoning

  • Hibernian have failed to win any of their previous three meetings with St Johnstone.
  • St Johnstone are unbeaten in six away matches across all competitions.
  • The Saints have not lost on any of their previous four visits to Easter Road.

Saints to maintain impressive away form

Both Hibernian and St Johnstone will head into Saturday’s clash at the Easter Road on the back of reaching the Scottish Cup semi-finals last weekend, with Hibs having beaten Motherwell on penalties, while the Saints saw off Rangers via the same method.

Hibs currently sit third in the Scottish Premiership standings, but Jack Ross has only seen his side win two of their last six in the league.

The Hibees have also lost four of their last eight league fixtures at Easter Road, having only been beaten once in their nine previous top-flight home matches.

The Edinburgh club also have a poor recent record against St Johnstone, failing to win any of the three most recent clashes between the two sides.

St Johnstone may be 18 points worse off than Hibs in the league standings, but Callum Davidson’s side have been impressive on the road, as they are unbeaten in six away matches across all competitions.

Indeed, February’s loss at champions Rangers is the only defeat the Saints have suffered in 10 away matches, while they are also unbeaten on their last four visits to Easter Road.

We are predicting the visitors will extend that impressive record on Saturday, although our prediction is for the St Johnstone double chance, given Hibs have picked up considerably more points than their opponents in the season as a whole.
