Honka to edge matters in Espoo

Honka are fancied to secure just their fourth win of the campaign against Oulu this weekend, though the lowly visitors can bag themselves a goal to markedly boost the odds for a home success.

It’s been a baptism of fire for Oulu since their promotion to the top tier and they head to Espoo this Sunday with just one win under their belts from ten Veikkausliiga outings.

Eight of those games have ended in defeat including a 0-2 loss against Honka in June’s reverse fixture, so it’s difficult to see them getting anything from this clash despite the hosts’ poor overall start to the season.

Honka finished fourth in 2020 but are currently languishing ninth this time around, and Vesa Vasara’s side have themselves suffered seven defeats from 11 (W3, D1).

While we expect them to improve their points tally here, their lacklustre defence, which has conceded 16 goals in total and failed to maintain a home clean sheet, looks like it could be breached again.
