Hull vs MK Dons Predictions
With the business end of the season upon us, Hull and MK Dons are probably where you would have expected them to be at the start of the season. Hull are in serious contention for automatic promotion although failure to score in their last 2 Championship games, a 0-0 draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday and a 1-0 defeat at Birmingham have dented their bid for an immediate return to the top flight. They are in 4th place, 7 points off leaders Burnley now but do crucially have 2 games in hand. They will unquestionably be viewing this as a ‘must win’ game.
MK Dons are 1 place above the relegation zone and come into this one after rare back-to-back clean sheets in the 2-0 win at home to QPR and 0-0 draw at Charlton in midweek. However Rotherham’s form means they are now only 1 point above the Millers in a relegation battle that could go all the way to the wire. They’ve only lost 1 of their last 4 games on the road which includes a shock win at Derby and draws at Charlton and Cardiff so Hull will know this is unlikely to be an easy game.
Hull are as short as 3/10 to win this and it is hard to ever feel confident backing a team at such short odds in a league when anyone can beat anyone on any given day. The Tigers should win of course and have only lost once at home all season but if you’re looking for bigger returns consider backing Hull to Win to Nil at 4/5. The Tigers have kept clean sheets in all of their last 5 home league games and 9 of their 11 home wins this term have been to nil. They will also bring back some key defenders here having rested numerous players for their FA Cup clash with Arsenal on Tuesday.
