Varnamo’s home struggles to continue

Djurgardens are the best bet to win away at Varnamo on Sunday. The hosts are still searching for their first home win of the season after seven games, and have gone ten home games without a victory in the Allsvenskan.

They are eight places above Varnamo in the table, with a 15-point gap between the two sides. Djurgardens, in eighth, have won five and lost five of their 14 games this season, while Varnamo are propping up the table with ten defeats and no wins.

Varnamo’s struggles are evident, with just one win in their last 21 Allsvenskan matches. They are without a victory in 15 games now, and still searching for their first home win of the season after seven games.

Their struggles in attack are a major concern. They have failed to score in four of their last five Allsvenskan matches, and have been disappointing up front at home this season, with just six goals in seven games – an average of 0.86 goals per game.

Varnamo’s defence has been a major concern, with the hosts failing to keep a clean sheet in eight of their last ten Allsvenskan home games.

A narrow 1-0 win for Djurgardens looks on the cards. Four of their last five Allsvenskan games and each of Varnamo’s last five have seen under 2.5 goals, and four of Djurgardens’ five victories this season have been by one goal.
