Inter Miami CF vs Orlando City Predictions

This weekend brings about the first regular-season clash between the two Florida sides in MLS, as Inter Miami play their first home game in the league. However, the pair already met at the MLS is Back Tournament last month, which saw Orlando claim a 2-1 win.

That was yet another defeat for Miami, who have been beaten in each of their last five games. They went out of the tournament with three group stage defeats after starting their maiden MLS campaign with consecutive losses.

While Miami were struggling, Orlando City went all the way to the final of the tournament, only to lose out to the Portland Timbers. They won four of seven games on their way to the final, so we expect them to be full of confidence for this short trip. With Orlando staying in their home state and heading to an empty ground, we don’t expect their away woes to be an issue. We expect them to add to the hosts’ poor start, especially with Inter’s new signing Blaise Matuidi not yet ready to start.
