Inter Milan to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Inter have won nine of their 13 home league games this year with both teams scoring in five of the last nine. Meanwhile, both teams have scored in four of Torino’s six league games this term.

Inter Milan 3-1

Reason for tip

Torino have shipped at least two goals in three of their six Serie A games this term. They claimed a 2-2 draw at San Siro against AC Milan and might be able to keep Inter down to a couple of goals, but they seem unlikely to score more than once against a side that has only twice conceded multiple goals at home in the last year.

Inter Milan vs Torino Predictions

  • Inter have won nine of their 13 home league games this year
  • Both teams have scored in four of Torino’s six league games this term
  • Both teams have scored in five of Inter’s last nine home Serie A contests

Torino are the entertainers

Torino’s approach is winning them plenty of admirers in Serie A this season, but it is unlikely to win them any points when they come up against champions Inter Milan at San Siro on Saturday.

Paolo Vanoli, who took over the reins in the summer, has implemented a similar style to the one that brought his former club Venezia up via the play-offs. They were the highest-scoring team in Serie B last season, but conceded more goals than one of the relegated clubs.

Torino set their stall out for an exciting campaign ahead when they came to San Siro on the opening weekend and shared the spoils with AC Milan after a thrilling 2-2 draw. Since then, they have beaten Atalanta 2-1 and Verona 3-2, but come into this clash on the back of two high-scoring defeats.

Inter’s strikers dovetailing well

Vanoli claimed his side ‘threw away’ the first 45 minutes against Lazio for the second consecutive time after their Coppa Italia loss against Empoli.

Meanwhile, all seems to be going well for Inter, who backed up their 0-0 away draw against Manchester City with a 4-0 home thrashing of Crvena Zvezda in midweek.  All of the Nerazzurri’s forwards were among the goals and they all appear to be working well with each other.

Simone Inzaghi’s side can be trusted to take all three points in this clash, but there may be goals at both ends again – as there generally tend to be when Torino are in action.
