Inter have kept seven clean sheets in their last eight league games, and won eight of their last nine Serie A outings. Only Napoli can match their record of just seven goals conceded in 10 home league games, and the Nerazzurri retain the division’s only unbeaten home record this campaign.

Venezia, meanwhile, have the second-worst attacking record in Serie A, with only rock-bottom Salernitana scoring fewer than their 19 goals this season. Venezia have only netted six goals in 10 away games this campaign, and no Serie A club has managed fewer attempts at goal than Paolo Zanetti’s men, while only Salernitana have created a lower expected goals tally in Italy’s top flight.

Nerazzurri shutout is a strong play

Considering Inter’s fearsome record at San Siro, and their superb recent run of clean sheets, which itself began with a shutout win in Venice, backing the hosts to win to nil looks an overwhelmingly strong play. Venezia are one of the most impotent sides in Italy, and have failed to score in two of their last three matches.

Scudetto favourites Inter also boast the league’s best attacking record, having already netted a half-century of goals. A 3-0 thrashing of their struggling opponents, therefore, could represent a good value correct score prediction.
