Underdogs Bohs can triumph in Kosovo

Bohemians had to come from behind against Balkani to win the first leg but it was a deserved 2-1 win and they look backable as underdogs ahead of the return fixture on Thursday.

Kosovo is generally a tough place to visit, as Scotland’s Hibs can attest, but Bohs are a team in form and fully up to speed as they are deep into their domestic campaign.

The Dublin outfit are on a six game unbeaten run, with five wins, and they’ve been in fine form on the road with five wins and just one defeat in their last seven trips.

In contrast, this is just Balkani’s fourth game of the new campaign and they have started slowly. They laboured to a win over two legs against Welsh outfit Connah’s Quay in the previous round and then lost in Ireland. Balkani also ended last season poorly with four defeats in five games, including two losses in their final three home games.

The hosts will be looking to get back into the tie and they can get on the scoresheet, as they failed to score in just one home league games last season, but Bohs can continue their push for a league phase spot by claiming a 2-1 win in Kosovo.
