Istanbul Basaksehir vs Wolfsberger Predictions
Istanbul Basaksehir won 2-1 at home to Goztepe at the weekend, extending their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions, while Wolfsberger held Rapid Wien to a 1-1 draw in Vienna and moved onto twelve games without a defeat.
All of the stats suggest that a double chance bet on Wolfsberger is the best way to go this Thursday and we’ve backed the visitors to claim a narrow 2-1 win in Turkey.
These two clubs have never met before but their performances and form heading into Thursday’s clash suggest that we will have a competitive and entertaining match on our hands. Wolfsberger are unbeaten in their last six matches, as are their hosts Istanbul Basaksehir, but the visitors haven’t lost in Group J so far and their hosts on Thursday are yet to win.
The performances of both clubs during the last month or so only adds weight to our prediction of a 2-1 final scoreline on Thursday, as both teams scored in four of Basaksehir’s last six matches and three of Wolfsberger’s last four games, while over 2.5 goals were produced in three of Basaksehir’s and three of Wolfsberger’s last five matches.
Wolfsberger thrashed Gladbach and drew with Roma, arguably their two hardest games of Group J, so the visitors will be confident of at least picking up a point in Turkey this Thursday. Istanbul Basahsehir are yet to secure three points of their own in Group J after losing heavily against Roma and only managing a draw at home to Gladbach, and Wolfsberger were supposed to be the easiest team of the four but have performed excellently so far.
We’re confident that a double chance bet on Wolfsberger will payout on Thursday and we have predicted a final scoreline of 2-1. Wolfsberger might not be the form favourites but they haven’t lost in twelve matches and have already taken points from games against Romka and Gladbach in Group J. Basaksehir have a couple of injuries and are still searching for their first win in the Europa League this season having only scored one goal in their opening two matches and conceded five.
