Goals at both ends the value play in Turin

Juventus were dumped out of the Coppa Italia at Atalanta in midweek and will be looking to bounce back and strengthen their top four hopes when they host Lazio in Serie A on Sunday.

Juve are the clear favourites against a Lazio side who have largely underwhelmed this season. However, the visitors have found a bit of form of late and have a reasonable record against the Bianconeri and the best angle for this game could be taking the odds against price on both teams to score.

Juve’s usually watertight defence has shown signs of vulnerability in the last couple of games. Luciano Spalletti’s side conceded in victory against Parma – who have the worst attack in the division – last weekend before shipping three goals in Bergamo.

Lazio have scored a paltry six goals on their travels but three of those strikes have come in their last four trips and they are unbeaten during that period (W2, D2). The Rome club also won the reverse fixture 1-0 and have only failed to score in one of the last four head to head meetings.

Ultimately, Juve can make their home advantage count and a 2-1 win is the correct score pick. The Old Lady haven’t lost at home in any competition this season and have won seven of their last eight in Turin, but Lazio haven’t conceded more than twice in any away game and they can keep this game more competitive than the prices suggest.
