Kairat Almaty vs Maccabi Haifa Predictions
BETTING TIP – DOUBLE CHANCE – MACCABI HAIFA OR DRAW
CORRECT SCORE PREDICTION – 2-1 MACCABI HAIFA
- Kairat Almaty have opened the scoring in their last four home games.
- Kairat Almaty have led at HT in eight of their last ten home European matches.
- Maccabi Haifa have scored in their last five European away contests.
Israelis have knowhow to avoid defeat
Kairat Almaty and Maccabi Haifa have become familiar foes over the last two summers and the concluding part of their trilogy takes place on Wednesday in Kazakhstan.
Kairat lost to Maccabi in a one-off Europa League qualifying tie last year, but earned a much better 1-1 result on their return to Israel last week.
Kirill Keker was able to rest his entire starting line-up from the first leg for their cup game at the weekend, leaving no excuses for his side not to attack right from the first whistle.
Kairat have a very good recent record of taking the lead in games, although they don’t always maintain them to the end.
But they are unbeaten in their last ten games, which includes a 2-2 draw with league leaders Tobol, and have an experienced centre forward to lead their line in Vagner Love.
Maccabi Haifa will be disappointed not to be taking a lead to Kazakhstan, but away goals no longer matter so their task is to avoid defeat.
Coach Barak Bakhar brings enough experience of European competition to their dugout to suggest they can at least get a draw and prove worthy of support in the Double Chance market.
The Green Locomotives should be sharper after their first competitive match of the season last week and look the side most likely to go through.
Maccabi Haifa won 2-1 at Rostov in last year’s Europa League qualifiers and we are forecasting a similar result on Wednesday – even if they have to come from behind to achieve it.
