Malmo have scored multiple goals in three of their last four games while Kalmar have conceded more than once in two of their last three. The hosts usually score at home, so try a 2-1 Malmo win for the correct score play.

Kalmar FF vs Malmo FF Predictions

  • Malmo have won their last three league games
  • Kalmar have lost three of their last five league games
  • Erik Botheim has scored nine goals in his last eight games for Malmo

Malmo on the move

Malmo are moving in the right direction again and can rack up a fourth Allsvenskan win in a row when they travel to Kalmar on Monday. MFF’s 4-0 weekend win over IFK Gothenburg was overshadowed by the absence of World Cup winger Taha Ali, who appears close to a move abroad.

His replacement, Oscar Sjostrand, impressed before suffering a worrying knee injury, paving the way for 19‑year‑old Anton Hoog to seize his moment. The teenager scored his first Allsvenskan goal within minutes of coming on, while Erik Botheim continued his excellent form with a brace.

Malmo are now firmly in the mix for a European place after reaching 19 points from 12 matches, and their attack is finally clicking after a sluggish spring.

Hosts can be trouble at home

Kalmar, although stuck in the bottom half of the table, will be no pushovers at home – where they have won four straight games. Three of those wins have been against clubs below them in the table, however.

Malmo have not won on their last two visits to Kalmar, and the hosts’ compact 4‑4‑2 shape could frustrate them early. But with Botheim firing, Hoog emerging and Malmo’s confidence rising, the visitors may have just enough quality to edge a tight contest.
