Leaky defence spells danger against Djurgarden

Orgryte’s defence may not be able to cope with a free-scoring Djurgarden side that can still catch the top two when they meet at Gamla Ullevi on Monday.

The Society’s thrilling 4–3 win over BK Hacken last weekend finally halted their poor run, but their defensive issues remain glaring. They have conceded three goals per game across their last ten matches and are still searching for a clean sheet. Even at home, they allow 2.2 goals per match, making Monday’s clash with a Djurgarden side hitting top form a daunting assignment.

The Iron Stoves produced another potent performance in their 3–0 home victory over Halmstad last Monday and their away form is even more impressive. Jani Honkavaara’s men have earned three road wins in their last four, scoring four goals each in the last two.

Hegland could have a hand in more goals

Bo Hegland, fresh from a brace last time out, is the standout threat and looks primed to exploit Orgryte’s fragile back line. The visitors’ firepower should be too much for an Orgryte side that has conceded 15 goals in their last five away matches and continues to struggle with organisation.

Even with Noah Christoffersson rediscovering his scoring touch, the hosts’ defensive frailty makes this a tough matchup. Back Djurgården -1, with their superior quality likely to tell over 90 minutes.
