Kosovo capable of sharing the spoils in Pristina

Viktor Claesson’s 35^th minute strike got Sweden off to a winning start in Group B against Georgia on Thursday night, but Jan Andersson’s charges could be denied another victory this weekend by a Kosovo outfit who have lost just three of their last 16 starts in Pristina.

The Swedes stole an early march in the group following Spain’s unexpected home draw with Greece, though their performance in Solna was unconvincing to say the least. They struggled to put away a tough and tenacious Georgia side and are likely to face a similar test this Sunday.

While their recent wins have largely been against inferior opposition, Kosovo have won 11 of their last 16 at home and have failed to net in just two of those games.

With Sweden losing their last four away internationals and only narrowly beating Bernard Challandes’ men 1-0 in Stockholm last year, the value this Sunday sits with the draw as the hosts are more than capable of taking a point from this encounter.

There’s unlikely to be a torrent of goals in Pristina but we do fancy both to strike, so we’re also forecasting a 1-1 correct score.
