AC Milan to Win

Reason for tip

After a recent wobble, AC Milan returned to winning ways against PSG during the week and they can follow up against an out-of-form Lecce side they have not lost to for 17 years.

AC Milan 2-1

Reason for tip

Milan have scored exactly two goals in four of their last five meetings with Lecce, who have netted in three of those four head-to-heads, all of which suggests this match could end in a 2-1 away win.

Lecce vs AC Milan Predictions

  • Lecce have failed to win any of their last seven matches in league and cup
  • AC Milan are unbeaten in their last 10 meetings with Lecce
  • Rafael Leao has scored in his last three appearances against Saturday’s hosts

Milan aim to build on important European win

After a run of four matches without a win, AC Milan returned to form in some style during the week, claiming a crucial Champions League victory over Paris Saint-Germain at the San Siro.

That should give the Rossoneri renewed belief ahead of their trip to Lecce, a team they have an impressive recent record against, as they are unbeaten in the last 10 meetings between the two sides, a run that dates back to 2006.

One player that particularly enjoys facing Lecce is Rafael Leao, who has scored in each of his last three appearances against the Puglia-based club, while he also ended his recent goal drought in style against PSG and should therefore be hungry for more.

Lecce’s early-season form fading fast

Lecce made a strong start to the season, taking 11 points from their opening five games, but they have picked up just two since, failing to win any of their last seven games across all competitions.

That run includes back-to-back home defeats, the most recent of which saw them dumped out of the Coppa Italia by lower league Parma.

Roberto D’Aversa’s side have at least scored in three of their last four meetings with Milan and with Saturday’s visitors having netted exactly two goals in four of the last five head-to-heads, a 2-1 away win could be on the cards.
