Lecce vs Torino Predictions
Torino can shake off poor form
Torino are out of form but they look like good value to win away at relegation-threatened Lecce on Sunday. Marco Giampaolo’s Torino side will be keen to get back on track and Paolo Vanoli’s Lecce team could be the perfect opponents.
Torino are eight places and 16 points above Lecce in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Lecce sit 18th with six wins and 20 defeats, while Torino are 11th with ten wins and 12 losses.
Lecce’s struggles in front of goal make them difficult to back even though they are the more motivated, sitting in the bottom three with two matches remaining.
They have failed to score in seven of their last nine home games in the league, and have gone two games without finding the net here.
The Lecce defence is a concern for the hosts, who have gone six home games without keeping a clean sheet. In fact, Lecce have failed to keep out their opponents in 13 of their last 16 matches at home in the league. They have conceded 31 goals at home this season in Serie A – an average of 1.72 goals per game from 18 matches.
The hosts are on a disappointing run at home. Lecce have lost two straight home games and it’s ten matches since they last won in front of their own fans. They have suffered six defeats in their last eight on home soil.
A 2-1 away win for Torino looks like a decent correct-score bet. Both teams have scored in four of Lecce’s last six Serie A matches, and seven of mid-table Torino’s ten victories this season have been by one goal.
