Leicester City vs Rennes Predictions
- Leicester are on a three game winning streak for the first time since October
- Rennes have lost on their previous three visits to England in European competition
- The Foxes are unbeaten in four home matches in Europe this season
Leicester finally hitting form
A poor run in the league and FA Cup exit to local rivals Nottingham Forest meant the pressure was beginning to grow on Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, but they have responded with three successive wins.
The most recent two of those victories saw the Foxes keep a clean sheet, while they have tasted success in six of their last ten outings at the King Power Stadium, losing just once.
They may be hitting form at the right time, and this competition is now their only chance of silverware, so Rodgers, with Jamie Vardy back and in goalscoring form, is sure to pick a strong side.
Rennes struggle on visits to England
Rennes got a walk-over in the group stages against Spurs, but their three previous matches in England, against Chelsea, Arsenal and Aston Villa, have all ended in defeat.
They make the trip across the Channel in good form, having won four of their last five, but on the road things have not been so good, with just one victory in six.
Four of those games have ended in defeat, while the club have not got past the last-16 stage of a European competition in their history.
I fancy Leicester to win this game, so that is my initial prediction, but there could well be goals, so I select 2-1 as a correct score prediction.
