Consolation only for Brondby at Groupama Stadium

Lyon look set to overpower a toiling Brondby side at Groupama Stadium this Thursday, though the Danes could bag themselves a consolation goal to markedly boost the returns for a home win.

Les Gones were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Lorient here at the weekend, but Peter Bosz’ men have won four of their last six starts in all competitions including a superb 2-0 success against Rangers at Ibrox on Matchday 1.

As expected, Lyon are an extremely skinny price this Thursday to see off a Brondby outfit who are currently languishing eighth in the Danish Superliga after just two wins from their first ten matches (D5, L3).

It’s easy to envisage Lyon racking up a few goals in this contest based on the visitors’ struggles and the overall gap in quality between the teams, though we think Brondby can at least get themselves on the score-sheet after netting in 11 of their last 14 games in all competitions.
