There is likely to be a considerable amount of drama on the final weekend in La Liga but it’s unlikely you’ll find any of it here. Malaga aren’t the most entertaining side to watch at the best of times and are cruising towards a mid-table finish which is probably a fair reflection on their season. Victory will ensure 8th place which would be a very creditable final finish especially given their awful start when they looked distinctly like relegation fodder. They aren’t ending the season that well either though with just 1 win in 7 games coming into this and that was at home to bottom club and already relegated Levante.

Las Palmas have more reason than most to remember this campaign with fondness whatever the result here. Having spent 14 years outside the top flight they are in 10th place going into the final game and will finish at least 9th if they win it. That would be an outstanding achievement for many people’s pre-season relegation favourites and a side that came up via the play-offs last term. Their last 12 games have resulted in 7 wins and only 3 defeats and all of those losses were by just a single goal so you’d certainly expect them to be very competitive here.

There is no reason why Las Palmas can’t get a result and they have cured their away troubles of late picking up 4 road wins on the trot between late February and early April. Malaga have the 2nd worst goalscoring record in the division and struggle to break the better organised sides down and with little at stake, there’s unlikely to be much tempo to their attacking play. Therefore the value here can be found by backing Double Chance – Las Palmas or Draw at 19/20.
