Malawi are guaranteed to finish in at least third place given that the tie-breaker goes on head-to-head matches before goal difference and they are three points ahead of Zimbabwe. A draw would all but secure qualification through third placed rankings, but defeat will leave them at risk.

Recent Malawi form hardly inspires confidence in them springing a surprise here though, given that they failed to score in four of their last six matches while losing five. Considering that questionable form, they will more than likely struggle against the pre-tournament favourites, Senegal.

Senegal could finish with a flourish
