Malmo FF vs Orebro SK Predictions

It’s been an excellent campaign for Malmo, who’re currently top of the table with a four-point advantage over their nearest pursuers. Having avoided defeat since April, the league leaders will come into this match against a lowly Orebro side full of confidence.

Malmo have impressed all round, but their efforts at home have been especially pleasing. Saturday’s hosts come into this match without defeat on home soil this season, while they’ve only dropped points in one of their seven matches at Swedbank Stadion.

From an offensive point of view, the league leaders have been very impressive at home, as they’ve scored no less 19 goals in just seven matches, scoring at least twice in all but two of their seven games in front of a home crowd. They’ve also done an excellent job at the other end of proceedings, conceding just four in seven, keeping three clean sheets.

Orebro are a struggling side; they’re just three points above the drop-zone, while they come into this match off the back of consecutive losses. However, somewhat strangely, their away form is far from poor. Saturday’s visitors, who’ve won three, drawn one and lost two on the road, come into this game with the fifth-best away record in the division. Going forward, with nine goals in six, they’ve certainly competed, while although eight goals conceded during that time isn’t great, they’ve given less away than they’ve created.

Given that Malmo are the league leaders, it would be easy to assume that they’ll romp to victory against a side considerably lower than them in the table, though it’s not tough to conclude that the hosts represent little value at the current prices.

One bet that does stand out is ‘Both Teams to Score’. Malmo, who’re averaging 2.71 goals for and 1.75 expected goals for at home, have the offensive quality to really hurt their visitors, though Orebro shouldn’t be discounted from an attacking point of view. After all, the hosts have conceded in three of their last five at home, while Orebro, who’ve scored in each of their last five travelling matches, boast a pleasing 1.83 expected goals for on the road.
