Can Marseille over-turn first leg deficit?

It has been a poor week for Marseille, who followed up their 3-2 defeat in the first leg of this semi-final tie with a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Lyon in Ligue 1 on Sunday, a game in which they rested a handful of players.

Jorge Sampaoli’s side have generally been in good form though, winning 10 of their last 13 games, as well as six of their seven Europa Conference League games, five of which have seen both teams score.

They sit second in Ligue 1 and have lost just one of their last six home games against Dutch opposition, while in 26 games at Orange Vélodrome this season, they have suffered only five defeats.

Feyenoord up against it

Feyenoord will be desperately hoping they can cling on to their one goal advantage, but a flaky defence who have not kept a clean sheet in seven away games leaves questions hanging over their ability to do so.

Arne Slot’s side have seen both teams score in each of those seven fixtures, as well as 10 of their last 12 on the road and 14 of the 15 matches they have played at all venues since mid-February.

They do come into this game in good form thanks to a run of five wins in a row, but have won just four of their eight Europa Conference League away games and are without a victory in five previous trips to France.
