Middlesbrough are one of the Championship promotion favourites and they have started strongly, winning three of their four matches across all competitions, but they are below West Brom in the table.

The Baggies are one of only three teams to have won their opening two league matches in the second tier and they were on a three-game winning run across all competitions before being edged out by Premier League Newcastle in a five-goal thriller in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Boro could edge entertaining clash

Middlesbrough have also been involved in some entertaining matches to start the season, with each of their last three going over the 2.5 goal mark.
