Superliga summit clash should be close

Sunday’s clash between the Danish Superliga’s top two in Herning should be well worth a watch as Midtjylland attempt to draw level with FC Copenhagen at the summit. The capital club have an awful record at MCH Arena, having lost ten of their last 11 visits there, but they did pull off a 1-0 victory on their last trip west.

Bo Henriksen’s side are not in their best moment after losing two of their last three and it would take a lot of faith to back them at around 13/8 to win this potentially title-deciding showdown, particularly after their embarrassingly-bad display at Randers.

But FCK catch a break with the hosts set to be without a couple of key players in Brazilians Junior Brumado and Evander and that could tip the balance their way in terms of which side has a grip of midfield for the longest. Midtjylland weren’t particularly impressive in their 3-1 away win at Brondby, who were reduced to ten men after just eight minutes, last weekend and don’t attract our money here either.

Multiple goals have eluded FCK recently 

We believe we can turn a profit in the goal markets by backing FCK to score fewer than two goals in the game at around 1/2. Henriksen’s side have scored multiple goals in only one of their last eight league games while the Wolves haven’t conceded more than once in seven of their last Superliga contests.

Although FCK have won both of their 2022 meetings 1-0, we believe Midtjylland will probably find a way through Henriksen’s defence at some stage in a game that could end up in a 1-1 draw.
