Midtjylland Double Chance (Win or Draw)

      Reason for tip

Midtjylland have only lost one of their 15 European games this season including qualifying and that was a 2-1 defeat away to Roma. They should be able to at least avoid defeat against a Nottingham Forest side who have only won one of their last 15 games.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

Eight of Nottingham Forest’s last 14 games have gone under 2.5 goals and this could be another tight affair considering the stakes at play, a 1-1 correct score selection is fancied to land in this Europa League tie.

      Midtjylland vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

      • Nottingham Forest only won one of their four away games in the league phase
      • FC Midtjylland have only lost one of their 15 European games this season
      • FC Midtjylland have drawn three games 1-1 already this season

      Tricky Trees in trouble

Nottingham Forest’s miserable season went from bad to worse last week as they were beaten 1-0 at home by Midtjylland in the Europa League round of 16 and things may not get any better as they visit the Danes for this second game.

The hosts have only lost one of their 15 European matches including qualifying this season, a 2-1 defeat away to Roma, and they have won 12 of those clashes.

Forest by contrast have won one of their last ten matches in all competitions after being denied by the bar and the offside flag in their 0-0 draw with Fulham at the weekend.

Vitor Pereira’s side are outside of the Premier League relegation zone on goal difference.

      Hard to see past Danes

They will have been boosted by the fact that Midtjylland conceded a 99th-minute winner against Nordsjaelland in domestic matters at the weekend but they were resting players for this clash and their European record this season makes them hard to look past.

The Tricky Trees will have to go for it at some point to overcome the deficit and could leave themselves open on the counter, Midtjylland are fancied to at least avoid defeat to confirm their place in the next round.

Eight of Forest’s last 14 games have gone under 2.5 goals and they have failed to score in their last two, take a 1-1 draw for correct score purposes.
