Norwich 2-0

Reason for tip

Millwall have shipped four goals in their last three home games and lost 2-0 to Norwich at Carrow Road earlier this term, so it is worth backing a similar scoreline victory for the visitors, who have conceded only three times in their last five games.

Millwall vs Norwich Predictions

  • Norwich City have won four of their last seven away Championship games.
  • Millwall have failed to win five of their last seven home league matches.
  • Norwich have won seven and drawn four of their last 12 games against Millwall.

Canaries can upset leggy Lions

Norwich can jump back into the top six and leapfrog Millwall with a win over the Lions at the Den on Saturday afternoon. David Wagner’s side are on a roll after three wins from their last four Championship games and will welcome the chance to tackle a Millwall side that may be jaded after their midweek exertions against Luton.

Opposing Gary Rowett’s side is always a tricky prospect, but the Lions have failed to win five of their last seven in South London and have been through a gruelling run of games against promotion contenders. That they beat Sheffield United and drew with Burnley is to be commended, but the Lions appeared to run out of steam at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.

Leading 2-0 with just over half an hour to go in Bedfordshire, they allowed Luton to claim a deserved point. It had not been a particularly effective performance up to that moment anyway as their first goal was down to a goalkeeping howler and the second had more than just a hint of offside about it.

Red hot Chilean can pepper Millwall’s goal

Norwich know they need to strike early to get all three points on Saturday as the team scoring first has won in their last eight away league contests. But Wagner’s men have been quick out of the blocks in their last two games and can cause trouble with a forward line that boasts plenty of pace and trickery.

On-loan Arsenal winger Marquinhos scored one and assisted another last weekend, but Chilean star Marcelino Nunez looks a better anytime goalscorer play here after he was pushed into a secondary striker’s role in the past two games, bagging twice against Birmingham.

Millwall have conceded four goals in their last three home games and lost 2-0 to Norwich at Carrow Road earlier this term, so it is worth backing a similar scoreline victory for the visitors, who have shipped only three times in their last five games.
