      MK Dons vs Fulham Predictions

The West London outfit have been pretty similar to what they were last year. They’ve been scoring plenty of goals and despite sitting in 12th place, have the best goalscoring record in the league with 29 goals from 16 matches.

However again they’ve been awful defensively and only bottom club Rotherham have conceded more goals. Their latest defeat, a 5-2 mauling at home to Birmingham was enough for the board to part company with manager Kit Symons, who might count himself a bit unfortunate to have lost his job but has ultimately paid the price for severe defensive frailties.

Reading boss Steve Clarke looks set to be appointed his replacement but it seems unlikely that he will be in the dug-out in time for this game.

These are uncertain times for a Fulham side, that really is crying out for someone to go in and get things organised particularly in defensive areas and they may struggle to get anything out of this match against MK Dons.

Although they are struggling in 21st place and are almost certainly going to be in the relegation picture come the end of the season, MK Dons have been picking up just enough points to keep their heads above water.

They’ve won 2 of their last 3 at home against Blackburn and Charlton and were only narrowly beaten 2-1 last time out away to unbeaten Brighton. Given the uncertainty surrounding their managerial position, the visitors won’t have been able to put in ideal preparation for this game over the 2 week international break so that may well play into the hands of MK Dons, who by contrast will have been eyeing this game for a while and at 11/8 look really good value to pick up a home win.

Both teams have scored in all of Fulham’s last 5 games and indeed most of their matches this season so it would be no surprise to see that occur again. However MK Dons may well end up inflicting a 3rd straight defeat on them and a 2-1 home win can be backed at 17/2.
