Monaco’s home form of six wins from their last nine home league games is keeping their Champions League qualification hopes alive as they aim to finish in the top three for the third year running.

Philippe Clement’s side have certainly provided plenty of excitement at Stade Louis II this season, where 15 outings have averaged nearly four goals per game, comfortably the highest amount in Ligue 1.

Lorient’s away day blues proving a problem

That Monaco form does not bode well for visitors Lorient, who are on a run of six games without a win on the road, while three of those matches have contained at least three goals.

Indeed, Regis Le Bris’ side have conceded 25 times on their travels this season, the highest total in the top half of the table.

They certainly struggle against the sides pushing for a place in Europe too, winning just one of seven games when facing teams currently in the top five, while six of those fixtures have contained three or more goals.
