Morecambe vs Wycombe Wanderers Predictions
- Morecambe have won one of their last nine league matches
- Wycombe have tasted defeat once in their last ten games
- Wycombe have won their last two away matches without conceding
Morecambe facing an immediate return to League Two
Morecambe’s promotion from league two last season came as a massive surprise and it certainly hasn’t been an easy first season in League One, the clubs first ever in the 3rd tier.
The Shrimps have won one of their last nine league matches and are odds-on for an immediate return to League Two. Their only victory in this run came against bottom side Doncaster and they are firmly up against it on Saturday as table toppers Wycombe roll into town.
Wycombe set for a prosperous visit to the seaside
Wycombe have had a fine season to date and Gareth Ainsworth’s men look primed for an immediate return to the Championship. Wycombe’s stay in the Championship only lasted a season, but they seem to have benefited greatly from the experience. They managed to keep a core group of players from last season and are flourishing as a result.
Wycombe have only lost one of their last ten matches and currently sit top of the League One table. They have been impressive on the road this season and currently hold the league’s second-best away record. Wycombe have lost just one of their last nine games on the road and have won their last two away matches without conceding. Another strong showing is expected on Saturday.
My main prediction for this match will be a Wycombe win. I think Wycombe will be able to limit the impact Morecambe’s main man Cole Stockton has on the game and may shut out the hosts. In the correct score market I’ll go for a 3-0 away win.
