Morocco vs Haiti Predictions
- Morocco have four points from two games
- Haiti have already been eliminated
- Haiti are still seeking a first World Cup goal
Haiti bow out against Morocco
Morocco’s 1-0 win over Scotland means they have virtually secured a place in the knockout stages and they conclude the group phase on Wednesday against a Haiti side who have already been eliminated.
The Atlas Lions could still potentially finish top of Group C, as they sit level on four points with Brazil, but Haiti will be keen to leave on a high note after losing their first two games without scoring.
Back Morocco to win and concede
The North African outfit are the heavy favourites and it could be worth taking a risk on backing a Morocco win with goals at both ends.
Haiti had enough chances to make a breakthrough in a 1-0 defeat to Scotland and they also had a few chances against Brazil, with seven attempts and three on target.
Morocco’s defence didn’t look watertight against Scotland and there is also the possibility that manager Mohamed Ouahbi could decide to rotate his side, or at least limit the minutes of some of his key starters, ahead of bigger tests to come in the knockout stages. That may open the game up a bit for Haiti and they will be eager to at least score at the World Cup in their first appearance since 1974.
Saibari the key threat for Morocco
Ismael Saibari hit what proved to be Morocco’s winner after just 70 seconds against Scotland and he was also on target against Brazil. The 25-year-old Bayern Munich target looks the standout bet for an anytime effort against Les Grenadiers.
A 3-1 win for Morocco seems a reasonable correct score prediction as one goal may be as good as it gets for Haiti, and the Atlas Lions have enough quality to win comfortably even if they do concede.
